This is because acquiring a successful listening skill takes time and lots of practice. It?s frustrating for students because there are no rules for developing this skill as there are as in grammar. In this chapter we also talk about the importance of listening and, what is involved in listening comprehension. The principles of teaching listening, he learning objectives to improve listening comprehension, the process of listening, and how to become a better listener are also studied here. In Chapter three we deal with some techniques and activities based on the Direct Method, which teachers can use in their classes for improving the listening skill. In this chapter we talk about the creation of listening activities for the unit 11 of the book ?Our World Through English?
