Summary: | This Doctoral Research focuses on two key issues for the author: The partial conception regarding the purpose of a business enterprise, which is a common deficit in the best known models of strategic planning, and the difficulties faced when trying to make the proposed integrated model more operational, as stated in Juan Antonio Pérez López’s research. In order to comply with this thesis, a theoretical study on such a model is carried out for the Strategic Management of an organization; taking into account the projection and completion of its conceptual contents and, as the result of a process which also includes the practical experience of the author, a model of an Integrated System for Strategic Planning is specified.
The model is conceived in three main phases: Analysis and diagnosis, stating strategy formulation, and strategic planning. This model has been applied to develop the Strategic Planning of the Universidad de Piura since 2013. During its development, new enriching concepts have been gradually incorporated, which have been stated in the conclusions at the end of this research.
