Summary: | This project starts with a brief review of one of the psychological schools of thought: constructivism. Also, I have emphasized upon two important figures involved in the research of the learning process: Jean Piaget, the representative of the constructivist movement, and Lev Vygotsky, a remarkable Russian psychologist; who highlighted the social interactionism. Chapter 2 focuses on children and the way they think and learn, advantages of an early start in the learning foreign language process, and learning strategies; such as, cognitive, metacognitive, and socioaffective to get the students' success. Chapter 3 deals with the complex area of the language and its characteristics in a general way. Since we are interested on the spoken language, we center our attention on speaking skills based on discourse and meaning. This chapter also includes some advises to motivate speaking. Finally, chapter 4 describes some meaningful activities, which encourage oral communication and support my research
