Description
Summary:The learning process should be based on activities geared toward children´s interests and necessities. For this reason, we consider that music in the classroom is a practical way to make both teaching and learning successful because it is authentic material that helps to improve English language learning, and it also increases children´s motivation toward learning itself since music is a dynamic way in which pupils enjoy learning. Furthermore, music is very rich in language components, such as vocabulary, pronunciation, structures and grammatical points which are learned subconsciously and can later be used in the practice of other skills. In consequence, taking into account that music has many advantages and that the teacher should support children´s effective understanding, in our project we concentrate on the importance of music as a resource to aid the development of the listening skill since this skill provides the aural input that serves as the base for language acquisition and facilitates learners interaction in spoken communication
