Nash applied his love of language to poems, stories, and lyrics. Among his most popular writings were a series of animal verses. When Nash wasn't writing poems, he made guest appearances on comedy, radio shows, and toured the United States and England, giving lectures at colleges and universities. Nash wrote about the famous baseball players of his day, but he particularly loved Baltimore sports. Nash´s works have been a way to show us his life, his experiences, and his problems. Our thesis contains five chapters. The first one, BIOGRAPHY, is about Nash s life. The second chapter, HISTORICAL EVENTS, is about the time that Nash lived in during the First War World, The First Radio Broadcast, The immigration Act, The Great Depression, and the life and the presidency of John Fitzgerald Kennedy. The third chapter, OGDEN NASH S POETRY STYLE, illustrates the poetry style that Nash used to write his poems. The fourth chapter, HOW OGDEN NASH WAS AFFECTED BY SOME HISTORICAL EVENTS, explains how Nash life was affected, and the contributions made by him in that time. Finally, fifth chapter, ANALYSIS OF SOME OF OGDEN NASH S POETRY AND SOME QUOTES, contains the analysis of some poems and verses |
