Objetivo: el objetivo de este estudio fue explorar qué factores condicionan la toma de decisiones de un árbitro de fútbol semiprofesional y cómo las distintas situaciones y fases del partido influyen en el rendimiento del árbitro y en su capacidad para acertar. Método: se observó a un árbitro de Tercera División durante su labor en tres partidos distintos tomando nota de todas las decisiones que tomaba en el partido mediante distintas variables posibles a diferenciar. Además, se registraron datos de frecuencias cardíacas y velocidades. Resultados: los resultados mostraron que el árbitro tuvo un 2.43% de error relacionado con el ámbito disciplinario y que tienen relación con el minuto de juego. Asimismo, se observaron notables subidas y bajadas de la frecuencia cardíaca relacionadas con el ritmo del partido pero que no le mantienen fuera del rango normal de pulsaciones. Por otro lado, se observó que el árbitro tiende a mostrar casi el doble de tarjetas amarillas al equipo visitante beneficiando así al conjunto local. Conclusión: el árbitro de fútbol de este estudio comete errores casi en su totalidad en tarjetas que no muestra y sí debió mostrar, y viceversa. Además, estos errores se producen en la segunda mitad del partido y sin ayuda de los árbitros asistentes. Este estudio podría ser útil para observar la relación del acierto y la toma de decisiones del árbitro y seguir trabajando en esa línea para evitar el error. Abstract: Introduction: the perfomance of the football referee is based on physical, technical, tactical and psychological factors; and his decision making is conditioned by different external and internal factors that can lead to the error. Therefore, it is interesting to know their relation with success and, above all, with error in order to reduce it to the minimum possible. Objective: The aim of this study was to explore which factors condition the decision making of a semi-professional football referee and how the different situations and phases of the match influence the referee's performance and his ability to get it right. Methods: A Third Division referee was observed during his work in three different matches taking note of all the decisions he made in the match using different possible variables to be differentiated. In addition, data on heart rates and speeds were recorded. Results: The results showed that the referee had a 2.43% error related to the disciplinary field and that they are related to the minute of play. There were also notable increases and decreases in heart rate related to the rhythm of the match but which did not keep him out of the normal pulse range. On the other hand, it was noted that the referee tends to show almost twice as many yellow cards to the visiting team, thus benefiting the home team. Conclusion: The football referee in this study makes almost all the mistakes oncards he does not show and should have shown, and vice versa. Furthermore, these errors were occur in the second half of the match and without the help of the assistant referees. This study could be useful to observe the relation between the success and the decision making of the referee and to continue working in that line to avoid the error. |
