| Shrnutí: | La primera mitad del siglo XX, tras la primera Guerra Mundial, Europa quedó marcada
por gobiernos totalitaristas. Así, la Italia de Benito Mussolini, la Alemania de Adolf
Hitler y la España de Francisco Franco fueron tres ejemplos notables con consecuencias
en los ámbitos económicos, sociales, políticos... y por supuesto deportivo. El deporte
sirvió constantemente como propaganda política pero también para marcar futuras
pautas de comportamiento en educación física y promover las instalaciones deportivas
en las ciudades. A partir de estos tres ejemplos, veremos las líneas que siguieron estos
gobiernos a la hora de enfocar la promoción del deporte.
The first half of the 20th century, after the First World War, Europe was marked by
totalitarian governments. Thus, Benito Mussolini's Italy, Adolf Hitler's Germany and
Francisco Franco's Spain were three notable examples with consequences in the
economic, social, political and, of course, sporting spheres. Sport constantly served as
political campaign but also to set future standards of behaviour in physical education
and to promote sports facilities in cities. Based on these three examples, we will see the
lines followed by these governments in their approach to the promotion of sport.
