Summary: | In this paper is developed an analysis and study of modeling strategies, control and optimization of field-based Model Predictive Control (MPC) that will achieve an efficient energy management in campus environments, technology park or district where maximize the use of renewable energies. The problem consists of different levels of control, as they must make decisions about the end use of the available energy and therefore are different objectives to fulfill (minimize fuel use, economics aspects, etc.). This leads to a hierarchical control problem to be addressed including technical as economic MPC and MPC cooperative and distributed. An study of the state of the art is presented about formulations, techniques and strategies for optimal cooperative MPC economic management of interconnected power systems.
